This highly respected firm has built an excellent reputation across the South West, providing a personalised and proactive service to a loyal and diverse client base. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a motivated Accounts Senior to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career within a well-established independent practice that genuinely values its employees and offers a positive working environment.
The RoleAs an Accounts Senior, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients from a variety of sectors, supporting them with their accounting and compliance requirements whilst building strong professional relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Reviewing and preparing VAT returns.
• Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance work.
• Liaising directly with clients and providing day-to-day accounting support.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
• Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

About YouThe successful candidate will ideally possess:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
• AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Strong accounts preparation experience.
• Good working knowledge of accounting software, including cloud-based systems such as Xero and QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive and professional approach to work.
