Assistant Accountant - French or Italian language required

My client an energy consultancy based in Central London are seeking an Assistant Accountant for their French and Italian entities. This role is crucial for managing the end-to-end transactional finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their financial processes.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Process and post supplier invoices in NetSuite, ensuring accurate allocations and timely payment runs.
• Manage supplier relationships, including reconciliations and dispute resolutions.
• Maintain and update the supplier master file in compliance with financial controls.

Accounts Receivable & Credit Control:

• Issue accurate client invoices and manage cash applications.
• Conduct structured collections for overdue invoices and maintain a clean customer ledger.

Reconciliations & Month-End Close:

• Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations and ensure timely month-end close activities.
• Prepare financial reports and revenue breakdowns by entity and project.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Languages: Fluency in French and English is mandatory; Italian is highly beneficial.
• Qualification: Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, or AAT-qualified with substantial experience in AP, AR, and credit control.
• Systems: Must have practical experience with NetSuite. Familiarity with multi-currency environments and specific accounting systems is advantageous.
• Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Must be proactive in improving systems and processes.
