Looking to be part of something game changing in road safety and traffic flow?

We’re hiring Control Room Operators for a well-established, value driven, equal opportunities employer near Solihull.

Working in the control centre (a dynamic and supportive team environment) you’ll oversee live traffic activity across multiple sites, making real time decisions to keep everything running smoothly. It’s a role that demands focus, clear thinking and a cool head under pressure.

Duties:

• Keeping traffic flowing smoothly by monitoring multiple junctions in real time (think of it as air traffic control, but for roads)
• Using your growing knowledge of Traffic Management Plans to anticipate congestion before it happens and help design safer, more efficient routes.
• Analysing on the ground traffic data and turning it into useful insights for clients
• Acting as the go-to link between engineers, contractors and local authorities to ensure every signal change is smart, timely and efficient.
• Staying in tune with local policies and operational procedures to make sure the business is always one step ahead and fully compliant.
• Spotting opportunities to do things better whether it’s improving a process, tweaking traffic flow, or suggesting smarter interventions.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

• Strong IT and computer skills – Experience with live systems, monitoring, or gaming environments is a plus.
• The ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Control room, monitoring or operations experience (desirable but not essential)
• Full training will be provided - no traffic management experience required.
