Despatch Operative needed in Gloucester, Paying £13.45ph, with overtime available. Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 13:00 - 21:00. Immediate starts available for the right candidates.
We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join our manufacturing client based in Gloucester on a temporary to permanent basis.This role involves preparing products for dispatch, ensuring accessories and components are checked and loaded onto the correct vehicles, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency throughout the shift. This is a physical role involving regular manual handling and heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities:
Picking and preparing products for dispatch
Ensuring accessories and components are loaded onto the correct vehicles
Checking products against paperwork and dispatch notes
Carrying out quality and quantity checksFollowing written and verbal instructions accurately
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environmentWorking efficiently to meet dispatch deadlines
Manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the shift
Skills & Requirements:
Previous warehouse, despatch or manufacturing experience preferred
Good basic reading and checking skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable with excellent timekeeping and a strong work ethic
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Positive, hardworking attitude
PPT or Counterbalance Forklift experience would be advantageous but is not essential
