Accounts Receivable Specialist

Buntingford, Hertfordshire – 5 days office based

We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing international business based in Buntingford.

You’ll take responsibility for customer invoicing and credit control across UK and international projects, working closely with Commercial, Project and Finance teams.

The Role

• Raise accurate customer invoices in line with contracts, POs and payment schedules.
• Manage UK, overseas and multi-currency invoicing.
• Handle credit control and follow up overdue payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing queries.
• Process credit notes and invoice amendments.
• Maintain accurate billing schedules and AR records.
• Support month-end and year-end processes.
• Work closely with Commercial Managers and Project teams to ensure billing information is correct.
• Support improvements to finance processes and the ERP system.

Experience Needed

• At least 3 years’ Accounts Receivable experience within a medium to large organisation.
• Strong experience of customer invoicing and credit control.
• Experience with international and multi-currency invoicing.
• Good understanding of AR processes and financial controls.
• ERP experience – Microsoft Business Central or Navision would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Construction industry experience would be useful but is not essential.
