My client is an established Legal 500 law firm in Dorset, looking to recruit an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its Corporate & Commercial team. Working alongside an experienced Employment specialist, you’ll handle high-quality work, develop client relationships and play an important role in the continued growth of the practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor seeking long-term career progression within a supportive and collegiate firm.

The Role

• Advise a varied client base on predominantly employer-focused Employment matters
• Draft employment contracts, policies and staff handbooks
• Handle disputes involving unfair dismissal, discrimination, disciplinary and grievance issues
• Advise on redundancy, restructuring and day-to-day HR matters
• Support corporate transactions, including TUPE and employee due diligence
• Manage Employment Tribunal claims
• Deliver employment law training to clients
• Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development
• Support the continued development of the Employment offering

About You

• Qualified Employment Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE
• Strong technical knowledge across contentious and non-contentious Employment law
• Confident managing your own caseload
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-focused
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers or support staff would be advantageous
• Ambitious and keen to progress towards Partnership
