Project Engineer
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an established heavy manufacturing business in Rotherham to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to join their Engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of capital investment and engineering projects, managing them from initial concept through to commissioning within a busy, heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage engineering and capital projects from approval through to commissioning, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Develop project proposals, technical designs, costings and supporting calculations.
• Coordinate contractors and external suppliers, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Work closely with production, engineering and technical teams to deliver project improvements.
• Produce and interpret engineering drawings, layouts and technical specifications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across plant and manufacturing operations.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience within heavy or medium manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with steelwork, fabrication and civil/structural engineering.
• Proven ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
• Experience working with heavy plant equipment such as cranes, conveyors or crushers would be advantageous.
• CAD/SolidWorks experience and a minimum IOSH qualification.
