Job Title: Operations Manager / Contracts Manager (Structural Steel) Location: South West Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum An established structural steel contractor is seeking an Operations Manager / Contracts Manager to lead project delivery functions across the business. Following the resignation of a senior operational leader, the company requires an experienced manager to oversee Project Managers, site teams and project performance. This role would suit an individual with a strong background in structural steel or the wider steel industry and proven experience leading project teams within a construction or engineering environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the project management and site delivery teams Oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects across the business Provide leadership, guidance and support to Project Managers Monitor project performance, resources and operational efficiency Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget Build strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders Support strategic planning and operational decision-making Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processesExperience Required: Experience within the structural steel or steel industry Proven leadership experience managing Project Managers or project delivery teams Strong people management and team development skills Track record of overseeing multiple concurrent projects Solid understanding of construction project delivery and operations Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and performance Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to lead teams and maintain high operational standardsDesirable: Previous experience as an Operations Manager or Contracts Manager Experience managing large project portfolios Background in structural steel fabrication, installation or contracting Relevant management or construction qualificationsKey Skills Required: Operations Management, Contracts Management, Structural Steel, Leadership, Team Management, Project Delivery, Construction, Stakeholder Management, Commercial Management, Resource Planning This employer is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of protected characteristics.
