Our client is seeking a Streetworks Inspector to support highways operations on a contract basis. The role will focus on inspecting streetworks activities, ensuring compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA), and helping to maintain safe, high-quality highway infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Inspecting streetworks carried out by utility companies and contractors Ensuring works comply with NRSWA, relevant highway legislation and local requirements Monitoring reinstatement quality, signing, lighting and guarding arrangements Identifying defective, unsafe or non-compliant works and recording findings accurately Issuing inspection reports and notifying relevant parties of required remedial action Working with contractors, utility providers and highways teams to resolve streetworks issues Maintaining accurate records of inspections, notices and follow-up actions Supporting the safe and efficient management of the highway network Job Requirements: Experience in streetworks inspection, highways or a related discipline Sound knowledge of NRSWA requirements and streetworks procedures Understanding of highway safety, traffic management and reinstatement standards Ability to identify defects and assess compliance with relevant regulations Strong written and verbal communication skills Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping abilities Ability to work independently while liaising effectively with contractors and stakeholders Relevant NRSWA accreditation or qualification If you have experience in highways inspection and a strong understanding of NRSWA, apply now for this Streetworks Inspector contract opportunity
