If you need training on how to chase an overdue invoice, this probably isn’t the job for you.

If you’ve been doing Credit Control for a while, are comfortable picking up the phone and know how to get money in without upsetting every customer you speak to, keep reading.

This business are in a backlog, and they’re heading into their busiest time of year.

They’ve brought in an experienced Credit Controller to tackle the big accounts, but there are a couple of hundred smaller customers that need attention.

That’s where you come in.

You’ll be:

  • Sending statements
  • Chasing overdue invoices
  • Picking up the phone and asking customers where the money is
  • Sorting out invoice and payment queries
  • Working with internal teams when something needs fixing
  • Using Excel to make sense of data when the systems don’t make life particularly easy

There’s nothing especially complicated about the job.

There’s just quite a lot of it.

So they need someone experienced, organised and confident enough to get stuck in from day one.

Good Excel skills are important.

It’s 3 days a week in the Leeds office and 2 from home.

They need someone ASAP, initially until around Christmas.

And if you’re good and everyone gets along, there’s a chance it could become permanent.
