What will you be doing?

You'll play an important role in the financial reporting process, supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and ensuring financial information is accurate, complete and ready for review.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts schedules, disclosures and supporting financial analysis.

• Supporting group reporting and consolidation submissions, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

• Preparing external statistical and regulatory returns to strict deadlines.

• Completing balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and supporting documentation.

• Supporting tax return preparation and associated reconciliations.

• Extracting and analysing financial data, helping to improve reporting processes and systems.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone with a solid grounding in financial accounting who is keen to develop their technical expertise.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience in a financial accounting, assistant accountant or similar role.

• Be actively studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with a genuine commitment to completing your qualification.

• Good understanding of financial accounting principles and reconciliations.

• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.

• A methodical approach, strong attention to detail and the confidence to investigate discrepancies.

• The ambition to take on more responsibility and develop within a technically focused finance role.

Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
Location: Leicester City Centre
Working pattern: Full-time, hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office
Qualification: Actively studying ACA, ACCA or CIMA
