People & Culture CoordinatorBe Part of Meaningful Change at Rape Crisis South London

Permanent Opportunity

Rape Crisis South London (RCSL) is entering an exciting new chapter. With a strengthened leadership team, a renewed strategic vision, and ambitious plans for growth and development, we are building on our foundations to deliver a bold and impactful future for survivors, communities, staff, and stakeholders.

As part of this journey, we are seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to join our People & Culture team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised HR or People professional who is passionate about creating positive employee experiences and wants to make a meaningful contribution within a values-led organisation supporting survivors of sexual violence.

The People & Culture Coordinator will play a central role in supporting the delivery of our people strategy and ensuring that our people practices remain responsive, inclusive, compliant, and trauma-informed. Working closely with the People & Culture Manager and wider leadership team, you will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, payroll preparation, learning and development activities, and employee engagement initiatives.

As a key member of the People & Culture function, you will help ensure employees, volunteers, and managers receive a professional, compassionate, and effective service throughout their journey with RCSL.

This position is ideal for someone who has experience within HR administration, recruitment coordination, people operations, employee relations support, workforce administration, or People & Culture environments and who is looking to further develop their career in a purpose-driven organisation committed to equality, social justice, and survivor-centred practice.

About the Role

The People & Culture Coordinator will provide comprehensive coordination and administrative support across the full employee lifecycle. The role combines operational HR responsibilities with opportunities to contribute to organisational development, culture change, workforce planning, wellbeing initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.

The postholder will act as a first point of contact for People & Culture enquiries, manage recruitment and onboarding processes, maintain employee records, coordinate payroll administration, support managers with people-related procedures, and contribute to the ongoing development of effective People & Culture systems and practices.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-focused, able to manage competing priorities, and committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

The People & Culture Coordinator will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for People & Culture and recruitment enquiries.
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment campaigns and candidate management processes.
  • Support onboarding, induction, and probation processes for new employees and volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
  • Prepare People & Culture documentation including contracts, letters, and employment-related correspondence.
  • Coordinate payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely submission of workforce data.
  • Monitor mandatory training, compliance checks, and safer recruitment requirements.
  • Support managers in implementing People & Culture policies and procedures.
  • Assist with employee engagement, wellbeing, and learning and development initiatives.
  • Produce workforce reports and People & Culture metrics as required.
  • Contribute to process reviews and service improvement projects.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and trauma-informed workplace culture.
