The Opportunity of Sales Manager, Professional Services

This high-impact leadership role owns the outbound sales function. You will lead, coach, and grow a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), expanding from six to ten in 2027. The BDRs identify prospects, start meaningful conversations and secure qualified meetings for specialist consultants, who then lead the technical and commercial assessments. This is not an individual contributor role: you'll focus on building stronger leadership, improving conversion, and creating a scalable, high-performing sales operation. Deliver results, and you will have a clear route to promotion to Head of Sales.

What We Are Looking For in a Sales Manager, Professional Services

* A proven track record of leading outbound B2B sales teams, including coaching, recruitment and effective management of underperformance.

* Strong commercial judgement, with the confidence to use CRM and sales data to improve decisions and performance.

* A practical, hands-on leadership style that sets clear expectations and raises standards.

* The ability to understand a technical service, communicate it accurately and collaborate closely with subject-matter experts.

* Experience selling complex professional services rather than products, such as consultancy, recruitment, legal, HR, accountancy or tax services.
