The successful candidate will work closely with Partners, Divisional Leaders and Business Services teams, providing valuable insight and guidance on a range of pricing and commercial matters.

Role of the Pricing Manager:

As Pricing Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the firm's wider commercial objectives, working collaboratively with stakeholders across its international network. You will provide strategic pricing advice, develop innovative fee arrangements and help identify opportunities to improve matter profitability and overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities of the Pricing Manager:

  • Provide commercial and pricing advice to Partners, Business Development and Finance teams across client proposals, panel submissions and matter-level engagements.
  • Develop, review and negotiate pricing proposals, including rate structures, alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), fixed fees, success fees and volume-based discounts.
  • Advise on matter scoping, resourcing models, utilisation assumptions and profitability to ensure commercially effective client arrangements.
  • Monitor client and matter performance against budgets, identifying potential risks and applying insights to future pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with Business Development teams on pitches and proposals, providing strategic pricing recommendations and financial analysis.
  • Support client rate negotiations, annual rate reviews and the development of standard rate cards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of pricing tools, financial modelling templates and commercial processes.
  • Build strong relationships with Partners and senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted adviser on pricing best practice and commercial opportunities.

About You:

  • Proven experience within pricing, revenue management or commercial finance, ideally gained within an international law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, alternative fee arrangements and commercial profitability.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable commercial insight.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence and advise senior Partners and business leaders.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a track record of improving processes, driving efficiencies and delivering results.
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification would be advantageous.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pricing professional to take on a prominent role within an established international law firm. With exposure to senior decision-makers and a broad range of commercial matters, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence pricing strategy, contribute to business-wide initiatives and play a key role in the continued development of the firm's pricing capability.
