Academics is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools and specialist SEN settings in Ebbw Vale.

Whether you have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, have worked with children in another setting or are looking to build on your existing school-based experience, we'd love to hear from you!

We work closely with local schools and can offer a variety of opportunities, from flexible day-to-day supply to longer-term placements. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in different educational settings while finding work that fits around your availability.

The Role

• Supporting pupils across primary schools and specialist SEN settings.

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and day-to-day learning.

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required.

• Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), helping them access learning and develop independence.

• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and social development.

• Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Adapting to different schools, classrooms and pupil needs.

We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in another setting.

• Experience within primary schools or SEN environments is highly desirable.

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

• Confidence supporting children with a range of learning and behavioural needs.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

• A genuine passion for helping children learn and develop.
