Pay: £39,000.00 per year Job description: Location: Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire Salary: £39,000 per year Contract: Permanent / Temp-to-Perm Sector: Social Housing We are currently recruiting for an experienced carpenter multi to join a social housing repairs and maintenance team covering Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumber looking for a stable role with a reputable social housing contractor, working across occupied properties and carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance. The Role * Carrying out carpenter multi trade repairs and maintenance across social housing properties. * Working within occupied residential properties and dealing professionally with residents. * Completing reactive plumbing repairs and planned maintenance. * Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs. * Repairs to taps, toilets, sinks, baths, valves, pipework and associated plumbing systems. * Carrying out minor installation and replacement works. * Completing works to a high standard and within agreed timescales. * Recording completed works and reporting any additional requirements. * Maintaining excellent customer service when dealing with residents. * Working safely and in accordance with company procedures and health & safety requirements. Requirements * Proven experience as a carpenter * Previous social housing / housing association / local authority experience preferred. * Good knowledge of domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance. * Able to work independently and manage a daily workload. * Full UK driving licence. * Good communication and customer service skills. * Relevant plumbing qualification such as NVQ Level 2 preferred.
