Thrive Education is looking for a driven, people-focused Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. As a regionally award-recognised recruitment agency, we're passionate about building great relationships, delivering outstanding service and helping schools find the talent they need.

If you've worked in education and are ready for a new challenge, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

What's in it for you?

A competitive salary

Earn £24,000–£30,000, depending on your experience, as you take the next step in your career.

A commission scheme designed to reward success

We believe great performance deserves great rewards. With what we believe is the best commission scheme in the county for education recruitment, there's real earning potential for consultants who are ready to build relationships, win business and grow their desk.

35 days of annual leave

Enjoy an excellent holiday allowance, giving you more time to recharge, travel and make the most of life outside work.

A workplace you'll actually enjoy

Barista-style coffee on tap, a fridge stocked with Monster Energy and a team environment that knows the importance of enjoying the journey, not just the results.

End-of-term celebrations and team activities

We work hard, celebrate success and make time to recognise the wins along the way.

Full training and ongoing development

You don't need previous recruitment experience to succeed. We'll provide the training, coaching and tools you need to learn the ropes, develop your skills and build a successful recruitment career.

The opportunity to make a real impact

Your experience in education gives you a valuable understanding of schools, staff and the challenges facing the sector. Now you can use that knowledge to build relationships, solve problems and help shape successful recruitment partnerships.

The role: Let's talk business development

We'll be honest. Recruitment isn't just about matching candidates with vacancies. It's about building relationships, winning business and driving growth.

You'll be joining a desk with existing relationships already in place, giving you a platform to build from. Your focus will be on maintaining those relationships, developing new opportunities and growing your client base.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with schools and education professionals.
  • Communicating confidently with clients and candidates over the phone.
  • Proactively identifying business opportunities and developing new client relationships.
  • Growing existing accounts and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Managing recruitment processes and matching the right people to the right opportunities.
  • Taking ownership of your desk, working towards targets and celebrating your results.

Who are we looking for?

We're particularly interested in people with experience in the education sector who are ready to transition into recruitment.

You might be a teacher, teaching assistant, school administrator, education professional or someone with a strong understanding of the school environment. However, if you're someone who wants to build a career in recruitment, we want to hear from you too!

What matters most is that you're:

  • Confident, personable and comfortable speaking to people over the phone.
  • Commercially minded and willing to embrace business development.
  • Proactive, resilient and motivated by achieving results.
  • Organised, adaptable and able to build lasting relationships.
  • Ready to learn, develop and take ownership of your success.

Previous recruitment experience is welcome, but it's not essential. The right attitude, communication skills and willingness to pick up the phone matter far more.

Why Thrive Education?

At Thrive Education, we want people to thrive in their careers, not just turn up to work. You'll have the support of a team that invests in your development, the opportunity to build on established relationships and a commission structure designed to reward your hard work.

Combine that with 35 days of annual leave, a supportive team culture and the chance to build a successful career in education recruitment, and you've got an opportunity worth exploring.
