Town Planner Location: Northampton Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum Benefits Competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000, depending on experience Excellent career progression and professional development opportunities Exposure to a varied portfolio of residential, mixed-use and strategic land projects Supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunity to develop client relationships and gain experience across the planning process Requirements Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or property development environment Good understanding of UK planning policy and legislation MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership is desirable Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines A proactive, commercially minded approach to planning Responsibilities Managing and progressing planning applications from initial appraisal through to determination Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation Undertaking site appraisals and assessing development potential Liaising with local planning authorities, clients, consultants and other stakeholders Supporting planning appeals, pre-application submissions and strategic land promotion Attending client meetings, site visits and planning consultations Contributing to the successful delivery of residential and mixed-use development projects Interested?
