Head of B2B Marketing

Macildowie are working with this client based in Derbyshire, a well-established organisation operating within the financial services sector, to recruit an experienced Head of B2B Marketing for an exciting period of commercial growth and transformation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished B2B marketing leader to shape and deliver a modern, commercially driven go-to-market strategy, helping the business accelerate customer acquisition, strengthen retention and elevate its position within a competitive marketplace.

We're looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Someone who thrives on building, improving and implementing rather than simply developing strategy.

The Opportunity

Reporting into senior leadership, you'll take ownership of the B2B marketing proposition and lead the development of a more joined-up go-to-market approach across Sales, Product, Marketing and Customer Success.

You'll have the opportunity to influence commercial direction, introduce new marketing capabilities and deliver tangible results from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the B2B proposition, creating compelling value messaging and differentiated positioning.
• Build and execute an integrated go-to-market strategy focused on acquisition, engagement, growth and retention.
• Establish a structured marketing calendar incorporating campaigns, content, thought leadership and industry engagement.
• Lead targeted digital marketing activity, including LinkedIn advertising, account-based marketing and lead generation.
• Create effective sales enablement materials, including presentations, case studies, playbooks and proposition collateral.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Sales teams to deliver coordinated product launches and commercial communications.
• Develop AI-enabled and automated marketing capabilities to improve prospect targeting, personalisation and lead nurturing.
• Introduce scalable marketing processes, measurement frameworks and data-led performance reporting.
• Design and deliver events and strategic partnership activity to strengthen market relationships.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring marketing is recognised as a genuine commercial growth driver.

About You

We're particularly interested in speaking with commercially minded B2B marketing leaders who bring:

• Significant experience in senior B2B marketing, go-to-market or commercial marketing leadership roles.
• A strong background within B2B SaaS, technology, platform-based businesses or related financial services environments.
• Proven experience building or transforming go-to-market strategies and operating models.
• Demonstrable success delivering customer acquisition, pipeline growth and retention initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of account-based marketing, marketing automation and emerging AI-enabled marketing technologies.
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively across multiple functions.
• A practical, delivery-focused approach, with the confidence to challenge existing thinking.
• Experience operating in fast-paced, evolving or transformational business environments.

Previous experience within mortgage services, intermediary networks or related financial services markets would be particularly advantageous.
