Forklift Driver Required - Canning Town

Our client, a busy manufacturing and production company based in Canning Town, is currently looking for experienced Forklift Drivers to join their team on a temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with a valid FLT licence who are looking for ongoing work within a fast-paced warehouse and production environment.

Conveniently located just an 8-minute walk from London City Airport station, this site offers excellent transport links and a supportive team environment.

Shift Patterns Available

Candidates can choose between two shift rotations:

Shift Rotation 1

• Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Shift Rotation 2 (Weekly Rotating Shifts)

• Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• Monday to Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am

The Role

As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for the safe movement of materials throughout the warehouse and production facility, ensuring stock is handled efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently.
• Loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the warehouse.
• Assisting with stock control and inventory management.
• Supporting warehouse and production operations as required.
• Ensuring goods are stored correctly and safely.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Working closely with team members to achieve daily operational targets.

What We're Looking ForEssential

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
• Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production environment.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Desirable

• Experience within a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
• Previous stock control or inventory experience.
• Flexibility to work across different shift patterns.
