JOB TITLE: FRONT OF HOUSE RECEPTIONIST – ONE DAY

SALARY: £13.45 per hour

HOURS: Tuesday 22nd September 2026 - 9 am – 5 pm

LOCATION: Watford

We are seeking a friendly and professional temporary one-day Receptionist/Administrator to cover the front-of-house reception. This role is perfect for someone who is immediately available and looking for a temporary one-day position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

FRONT OF HOUSE/ADMIN:

• Meeting and greeting clients upon their arrival
• Taking pride in maintaining the client reception
• Answering the switchboard
• Taking clear messages and recording callers' names, numbers and reason for calling
• Dealing with walk-ins and explaining that the office is unattended
• Taking in deliveries and post
• Signing for parcels where appropriate
• Dealing with couriers/collections
• Directing any urgent enquiries to the appropriate contact, if they have been given contact

• Monitoring the reception area/entrance
• Answering a general reception email if one is monitored
• Keeping a simple message log of calls, visitors and deliveries for staff to pick up when they return
• Full training in the systems will be provided.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Previous experience as a receptionist, admin, or customer service role.
• Confident
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour
• Use your initiative.
