I am currently hiring a very exciting role for my Carlisle based client who are looking for an experienced Group Financial Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. Full relocation packages will be considered for this role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practice based Accountant to move into an industry position focusing on property, hospitality and retail. You will be welcomed into an established business with an incredibly stable financial base ad encouraged to grow and diversify as the business continues to meet its ambitious plans.

Reponsibilities:

• Preparing accounts for group businesses and subsidiaries
• Preparing and presenting financial statetments in compliance with FRS requirements
• Working with HMRC to ensure the company meets all regulatory requirements
• Carrying out audits with external partners to ensure strong alignment with business and external expectations
• Manage and report on the group balance sheet covering the parent company and all holding companies
• Support all key stakeholders in budgeting exercises and forecasting
• Analyse financial discrepancies and provide reporting to senior management
• Travel across all UK sites to support finance and business teams to produce accurate reporting
• Present financial data to all relevant senior stakholders

The relevant candidate will have the following skills:

• Fully qualified with a relevant body
• Experience in group reporting across a number of holding companies (practice experience across varied clients is also a good substitute)
• Experience working with sectors including property, hospitality and retail
• Experience preparing reports and accounts
• Strong experience working with external partners for auditing and reporting
• Experience of UK GAAP, FRS 101/102 principles
• Experience of VAT and foreign financial accounting
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to present to senior stakeholders
