As a Road Transport Agent, you will support the day-to-day operation of the ground transportation network, ensuring shipments move efficiently, accurately and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating daily truck and freight movements
• Monitoring the smooth and timely flow of shipments
• Planning and optimising transport routes and truck utilisation
• Updating operational systems accurately and in a timely manner
• Communicating with internal and external customers
• Liaising with transport suppliers and maintaining strong working relationships
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant regulations
• Monitoring and achieving operational KPIs
• Following and maintaining standard operating procedures
• Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
• Escalating operational issues to management when required
• Maintaining clear and timely communication throughout the operation

Key Skills

• Ideally experienced in transport, logistics, freight forwarding or a similar operational environment
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
• Computer literate with basic Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
