Religious Education Teacher - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging practitioner for a secondary school where pupils can develop their understanding of religious beliefs, philosophical questions, ethics and contemporary issues.

The role

As a Religious Education Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the relevant secondary age groups.
• Teaching religious beliefs, practices, philosophical arguments and ethical issues.
• Developing pupils' analytical, evaluative and written communication skills.
• Preparing learning activities that challenge pupils of differing abilities.
• Assessing progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining high expectations.
• Contributing to a positive classroom environment built around respect and inclusion.

What we're looking for

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge across Religious Education, religion and ethics.
• Effective classroom management and clear communication skills.
• The ability to engage pupils in discussion while maintaining balanced, respectful debate.
• A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil progress.
• Based in or reliably commutable to High Wycombe
