  • Implement individual support plans and strategies to meet pupils’ needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour through a calm, consistent and nurturing approach.
  • Support pupils during classroom activities, transitions, breaktimes and lunchtimes.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, parents and external professionals where appropriate.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within an SEN setting.
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, resilience and flexibility.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
  • Can adapt their approach to meet individual needs and learning styles.
  • Is a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Is committed to helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Relevant SEN experience is desirable, although candidates with transferable skills and a genuine commitment to supporting children will also be considered.

Why Apply?
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children’s lives.
  • A supportive and collaborative school environment.
  • Valuable experience within primary education and SEN.
  • The potential for a long-term placement.
  • An opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a rewarding role.
