Waltham Forest College is currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join the team on a temporary ongoing basis.

We have opportunities available for candidates looking to work 3, 4 or 5 days per week, supporting learners within a Further Education environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Role Details

• Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
• Location: Waltham Forest College, E17 4JB
• Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
• Hours: 7.2 hours per day
• Immediate start available
• Temporary ongoing contract

Available Working Patterns

• 3 Days Per Week
• 4 Days Per Week
• 5 Days Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Support learners within classroom and workshop environments.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
• Assist students with additional learning needs.
• Encourage learner engagement, confidence and independence.
• Support students in achieving their educational goals.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support learner progress.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience supporting young people or adults in an education, training or support setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for supporting learners and promoting inclusion.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
