We are recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a growing engineering business in Wetherby.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to make improvements, reduce costs and take ownership of the procurement and supply chain function. The business has recently been acquired by a larger group and is continuing to grow, making this an exciting time to join.

The Role

• Manage and lead the procurement team
• Take overall ownership of procurement and supply chain
• Manage and negotiate with suppliers
• Identify cost-saving opportunities
• Improve purchasing and stock management processes
• Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality and service
• Work closely with internal teams to improve purchasing efficiency

About You

You'll need a strong technical procurement background, ideally within engineering, manufacturing or a similar technical environment.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Experienced at Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer or similar level
• Confident managing suppliers and negotiating
• Experienced in leading a procurement team
• Commercially minded with a focus on cost saving
• Proactive and confident introducing change
• Comfortable taking ownership and getting stuck in
• A strong communicator and relationship builder
• A full UK driving licence and own transport
