About the Role

As Executive Headteacher, you will provide vision, direction and leadership across multiple schools, ensuring the highest standards of education, safeguarding, compliance and operational excellence. You will workcloselywithschoolleaderstocreatethrivinglearningenvironmentswherestudentscanachievetheirfullpotentialwhilstsupportingthecontinuedgrowthandsuccessofthewiderportfolio.

This role is ideal for a high-performing leader with a strong trackrecordofschoolimprovement,developingseniorleadershipteams,anddeliveringexceptionaleducationaloutcomeswithincomplexeducationalsettings.

Reportingintosenioroperationalleadership,youwillberesponsibleforthestrategicleadership,performanceandgrowthofaportfolioofschools.

Please note: This role will be based over 2 sites; Heath Farm College, Maidstone, ME16 0ER & Medway Green School, Wouldham, Rochester, ME1 3TS.

What you will be doing

• Lead and inspire multiple school leadership teams to deliver outstanding specialist education and student outcomes.
• Set the vision, ethos and strategic direction across the portfolio, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, regulatory and quality standards.
• Monitor educational performance, student progress and school effectiveness, implementing improvement strategies where required.
• Develop and coach Headteachers and senior leaders, building high-performing teams and succession plans.
• Oversee curriculum quality, teaching and learning standards, and staff development across all schools.
• Lead safeguarding across the portfolio, ensuring robust systems, policies and practices are embedded.
• Manage financial performance, budgets and resources to deliver sustainable, high-quality provision.
• Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners, families and other key stakeholders.
• Support student referrals, placement suitability and capacity planning to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Champion the reputation and growth of the schools through stakeholder engagement, marketing and community partnerships.

What you will bring

We're looking for an exceptional educational leader who can combine strategic vision with operational excellence.

• QTS and relevant leadership experience required.
• Substantial senior leadership experience within education, ideally including multi-site or portfolio leadership.
• A proven track record of driving school improvement and delivering positive inspection outcomes.
• Extensive knowledge of SEN and specialist education provision.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, regulatory and quality standards.
• Experience leading and developing senior leadership teams to achieve outstanding performance.
• Excellent financial and commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to analyse performance data and translate insight into measurable improvement.
• A collaborative, resilient and solutions-focused leadership style.

About Us

We are an independent specialist sixth form college that caters for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. We offer a unique and stimulating environment where every student is able to make outstanding progress in their personal development and enjoy success in their education. 

Heath Farm College is situated in Maidstone and has capacity to support up to 58 students. The provision facilitates a professional post 16 provision for students with EHCPs who are not ready for a large FE college or large school/academy 6th Form provision. 

At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.
