  • Lead on-site audit teams and review work completed by junior staff.
  • Ensure assignments are delivered on time, within budget and to a high technical standard.
  • Identify and resolve audit, accounting and compliance issues.
  • Prepare statutory accounts, management reports and corporation tax computations where required.
  • Liaise with internal departments and clients throughout the audit process.

Client Management

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients during assignments.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with client finance teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver a high level of client service and provide practical commercial solutions.

Team Development

  • Support, coach and mentor trainees and junior team members.
  • Provide constructive feedback and assist with staff development.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Take ownership of your own professional development and career progression.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA or ACCA part-qualified (Professional/Applied Skills completed) or recently qualified.
  • A minimum of 3 years' audit experience within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Experience leading external audit assignments from fieldwork through to completion.
  • Previous accounts preparation experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP.
  • Exposure to IFRS (advantageous but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • The confidence to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using CaseWare.
  • Experience using CCH software.
