The Role

They are now looking for an experienced Multi Trade Engineer to join their growing Small Works team.

This is a mobile role covering commercial and industrial sites across Hertfordshire, carrying out a variety of building fabric maintenance on small work projects.

You will be a proactive, reliable and hands-on individual who takes pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship. You will also be required to respond to reactive call-outs, diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of health & safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general building fabric maintenance, repairs and small works.
• Undertake carpentry, joinery and door repairs.
• Complete general plumbing repairs and patch plastering.
• Carry out painting, decorating and finishing works.
• Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs and urgent building issues.
• Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
• Complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Use mobile apps to log in and out of jobs and update job information.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and site contacts.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements.
• Provide occasional out-of-hours support when required.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Proven experience in building fabric maintenance.
• Commercial maintenance experience is preferred, although not essential.
• Strong all-round multi-trade skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Good carpentry/joinery skills.
• General plumbing, plastering, painting and decorating experience.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using mobile apps to manage and update jobs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive, reliable and professional attitude.
• A full UK driving licence.
