As a Caretaker / Grounds Manager, you will be integral to our school community, responsible for a variety of tasks including securing the premises, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the overall safety of the grounds. This role is vital in creating a positive and secure environment for both students and staff.

Ideal Candidate:

• Have proven experience in caretaking or grounds management, ideally within an educational setting.
• Are highly flexible and reliable.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Have strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Are willing to work various shifts, including early mornings (6 AM - 2 PM), late evenings (2 PM - 10 PM), or mid-shifts (10 AM - 6 PM).

Day-to-day of the role:

• Perform general caretaker duties, including locking up and ensuring the security of the school premises.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the school grounds and facilities.
• Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Adapt to varying shift times to meet the needs of the school.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down events and activities on the school premises.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in caretaking or grounds management, preferably in a school setting.
• High level of flexibility and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work various shifts as required.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service.
