This is an opportunity for a commercially minded credit professional to take ownership of high-impact lending innovation within an established FinTech environment. You will have the autonomy to develop new ideas, build the commercial case and take initiatives from concept through to measurable impact.

They are an established UK FinTech operating within the consumer lending space. With a strong existing credit operation and significant investment behind their innovation agenda, they are looking to build new capabilities that enhance both customer and commercial outcomes.

THE ROLE

As Senior Credit Risk Manager, you will focus on transformational credit and lending initiatives rather than day-to-day portfolio management.

You will:

• Identify and own new lending initiatives that deliver meaningful customer and commercial value.
• Develop new customer segments, distribution channels and lending propositions.
• Explore opportunities across areas such as cross-sell, re-lending and existing customer value.
• Build new credit strategies and capabilities.
• Own initiatives from initial concept through strategy, pricing, credit approach, launch and handover.
• Use data to build value cases and assess commercial opportunities.
• Make informed decisions across credit risk, pricing and distribution.
• Partner with Credit Risk, Product, Commercial, Finance and Operations to deliver initiatives successfully.
• Remain accountable for performance and measurable impact after launch.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong commercial experience within FinTech, ideally consumer lending, credit or a closely related environment.
• Strong credit risk knowledge combined with the ability to think beyond traditional credit management.
• Strong SQL skills are essential.
• Python experience is beneficial.
• Experience developing and delivering new credit, lending or commercial initiatives.
• Ability to translate data and analysis into commercial decisions.
• Confidence working independently and taking end-to-end ownership.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and coach cross-functional colleagues.
• A practical approach to experimentation, iteration and problem-solving.
