Assembly Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver Location: Worsley, Manchester (M28) Shift: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am – 1:30pm Pay: £12.71 per hour + overtime at enhanced rates Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Job Description We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy and well-established manufacturing team based in Worsley (M28). This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual with previous metal fabrication experience and a valid FLT Counterbalance licence. The role offers stable, full-time employment, regular overtime opportunities and an early finish every Friday. Key Responsibilities * Fabricating and assembling metal components to required specifications * Reading and working from engineering drawings * Operating a range of hand and power tools * Operating an FLT Counterbalance truck when required * Carrying out general workshop and production duties * Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard * Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment * Supporting the wider production team to meet daily targets Requirements * Previous metal fabrication experience is essential * Valid FLT Counterbalance licence required * Experience using hand and power tools * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality * Reliable, punctual and hardworking * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Flexible attitude towards overtime and general workshop duties Working Hours * Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm * Friday: 8:00am – 1:30pm Pay & Benefits * £12.71 per hour * Overtime at £19.07 per hour (time and a half for the first 8 overtime hours) * Overtime at £25.42 per hour (double time after 8 overtime hours) * Regular overtime opportunities available * Early finish every Friday * Full-time, permanent position * Stable working hours within an established manufacturing environment Apply Today If you have experience in metal fabrication, hold a valid FLT Counterbalance licence and are looking for a stable, long-term opportunity in Worsley, we would love to hear from you.
