I am currently partnering with a leading international law firm to appoint an experienced Legal Cashier to join their established and collaborative finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented legal finance professional to work fully remotely from anywhere in the UK, supporting a fast-paced, global legal practice.

Working closely with partners, fee earners and colleagues across the Finance function, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant and efficient legal cashiering operations while delivering a high standard of internal client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to finance and cashiering queries from partners, fee earners and colleagues, providing a professional and high-quality service.
• Maintain cash flow forecasts across both office and client bank accounts.
• Complete daily bank reconciliations for office and client accounts, including the reconciliation and posting of official fees.
• Accurately process and post multi-currency supplier disbursement invoices.
• Manage the cancellation of stale office and client account cheques and oversee associated follow-up procedures.
• Support senior legal cashiering colleagues with client account transactions, including manual interest calculations and postings.
• Allocate daily cash receipts across office and client accounts in multiple currencies, ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal policies.
• Process partner drawings and distributions, including the preparation and upload of payment files.
• Prepare month-end reconciliation summaries for office and client bank accounts.
• Post and balance supplier invoices relating to legal disbursements.

About You

• Previous Legal Cashier, Legal Accounts or Law Firm Finance experience.
• Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules and legal finance compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach to work.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Proactive, collaborative and service-focused, with a positive approach to teamwork.
• Strong Excel skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships across all levels of the firm.
