Hybrid working: 2 days in office

Global brand activations, a blue-chip roster and the commercial infrastructure to win in new sectors. Cold prospecting with full ownership of every client landed, uncapped OTE and a direct line to the Managing Director. An Events New Business Development Manager/Director role built for someone who wants to build something that is theirs.

- Uncapped OTE on top of a competitive base

- Full ownership of all new business won for the first twelve months

- TOIL for on-site event and travel days

- Strategic relationship ownership post-acquisition, not just hand-off

- Hybrid working with genuine autonomy over your week

- Growing, well-resourced agency with serious sector credibility

The Company

This is a thriving experiential and events agency with a well-established reputation in high-end brand hospitality, motorsport, exhibitions and brand activation. A blue-chip client roster, in-house creative and production capability, and a clear growth agenda make this a compelling platform for an Events New Business Development Manager/Director ready to open new sectors. The business has built its name quietly over fifteen years and is now actively investing in sector diversification, with the commercial infrastructure to back it. Looking to expand their portfolio into technology, igaming, esports, energy, automotive or defence sectors so experience in these sectors would also be an advantage.

The Role

The Events New Business Development Manager/Director is a purely outward-facing acquisition role: you own the full pipeline from cold outreach to signed contract, and retain strategic oversight of each new client relationship through the first twelve months of their lifecycle, with no responsibility for operational delivery.

- Identify and map new sectors, territories and target clients aligned to the agency's growth plan

- Generate and manage a self-sourced cold prospect pipeline

- Build and develop senior decision-maker relationships from first contact

- Lead early-stage client engagement, needs analysis and commercial viability assessment

- Support the pitch team with client insight through proposal and pitch processes

- Act as strategic relationship owner for newly acquired clients through their first twelve months

- Develop strategic partnerships that open new routes to market

- Contribute market intelligence into the wider business development and growth planning process

The Candidate

The right candidate brings a proven record of generating cold new business in an agency, events, experiential or closely adjacent environment. You have mapped sectors, built targeted outreach strategies and converted senior decision-makers through your own commercial discipline, not warm handovers.

Confident presentation and pitch skills, experience with strategic partnership development, and familiarity with Client Lifecycle Management models are all beneficial but not essential. A background working across technology, igaming, esports, energy, automotive or defence sectors would also be an advantage. Above all, an Events New Business Development Manager/Director who is energised by the cold start and motivated by genuine ownership of what they win will thrive here.

In return, you can expect an uncapped OTE, hybrid working with TOIL for event days, and the autonomy to build something that is genuinely yours. This role carries real strategic weight inside a growing agency, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
