This role is offered between 30-40 hours per week with hybrid working attached and a salary of £35-40k FTE.

You’ll gain hands on exposure across the full month end cycle, work closely with an experienced Financial Controller and play a vital role in shaping the finance function as this ambitious SME continues to grow.

Duties Will Include

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including key journals and reconciliations
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations across accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, stock and bank
• Assist with P&L reviews, variance analysis and monthly KPI reporting
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy across all postings
• Oversee AP/AR activity and resolve queries to support smooth financial operations
• Manage banking and cashflow tasks, including daily reconciliations and cash reporting
• Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation
• Support stock accounting, reconciliations and adjustments
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with wider compliance requirements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and multi-company reporting
• Contribute to year-end audit preparation and respond to auditor queries
