Job Title: Fleet Business Development Specialist

Location: Guildford, Main Dealership

Salary: £40,000 Basic Salary – £80,000 OTE + Company Car

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm (No Weekends)

Hawkfield Recruitment is working with a well-established automotive dealer group in Guildford who are looking to recruit an experienced Fleet Business Development Specialist to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in fleet sales, vehicle leasing, brokerage or automotive business development to join a forward-thinking dealer group, representing some of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the UK.

Offering a £40,000 basic salary, £80,000 OTE and company car, this position would suit an ambitious, commercially driven individual who enjoys developing new business, building long-term relationships and identifying opportunities within the corporate and fleet market.

Responsibilities of Fleet Business Development Specialist:

• Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across the corporate, fleet and leasing sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, corporate customers, leasing companies and vehicle brokers.
• Promote the dealership's fleet offering, including a range of petrol, hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Develop new sales channels and strengthen existing business partnerships to increase fleet sales volumes.
• Manage customer enquiries, prepare competitive quotations and negotiate fleet sales agreements.
• Deliver vehicle presentations, product demonstrations and test drives to corporate customers and business partners.
• Work towards agreed sales targets, consistently identifying opportunities to increase business volumes.
• Provide advice and guidance on fleet funding options, business contract hire, salary sacrifice schemes and company car taxation.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity reports and business development pipelines.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure a smooth customer journey from initial enquiry through to vehicle delivery.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in fleet sales, vehicle leasing, brokerage or automotive business development.
• A proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets.
• Good knowledge of fleet funding methods, business contract hire and leasing agreements.
• An understanding of salary sacrifice schemes, Benefit in Kind (BIK) taxation and electric vehicle benefits.
• Experience developing relationships with corporate customers and business partners.
• Existing relationships with major leasing companies or vehicle brokers would be advantageous but are not essential.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage your own sales pipeline.
• Full UK driving licence.
