The Opportunity

An established manufacturing business based in Midsomer Norton is seeking an Interim Finance Assistant to support the finance team during a period of significant operational activity. Following the recent implementation of new systems and increased production volumes, the business requires an organised finance professional to assist with a high volume of transactional finance duties.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can quickly become a valued member of a close-knit finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Investigating and resolving supplier queries
• Allocating incoming payments
• Supporting month-end finance activities
• Assisting with data cleansing and system improvements
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

About You

• Previous experience within a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant position
• Strong purchase ledger knowledge
• Good Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
• Excellent attention to detail
• Available immediately or on short notice
