Finance Assistant

• Location: Central Edinburgh
• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
• Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Reed Accountancy are working with a well-known Edinburgh business who are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their small accounts team. This role would see the successful candidate working in office to support the transactional accounts function.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accounts payable and receivable
• Processing sales and purchase invoices
• Posting and reconciling bank accounts
• Matching bank receipts with weekly trading activity
• Processing and reconciling deposits and expenditures
• Preparing and submitting weekly payment runs
• Handling bi-weekly payroll payments

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar accounting role
• Proficiency in Xero
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
