Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Wireman on a 4 Month Contract based in Scotland. Role Summary We're looking for an experienced wireman to join the electrical team on a major new 275/132kV substation build in Argyll. The substation is part of a wider programme to strengthen the Scottish transmission network and connect more renewable energy. The main buildings are up and the work is now in the fit-out and installation phase. Responsibilities * Wiring and terminating control and protection panels, marshalling kiosks and junction boxes * Installing and terminating multicore control cabling in the substation buildings and around the site * Following wiring diagrams and cable schedules accurately * Labelling, ferruling and tidying cables to a high standard * Supporting testing and commissioning teams by fixing wiring faults and making changes * Keeping within site rules, permits and safe systems of work Requirements * Proven experience as a wireman on a substation * Able to read and work from electrical drawings and schematics * Experience wiring protection and control panels (high-voltage experience is a bonus) * ECS Gold Card * A current CSCS card, or equivalent card for the electrical trade * Happy to work in a remote site environment and follow strict safety standards Our Company Rubicon Consulting is a Talent management consultancy which helps you to optimise business performance and competitive advantage by choosing the right people first time
