Motor Claims Handler

Salary up to £28,000

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm

Southam Selections is recruiting an experienced Motor Claims Handler to join a growing accident management business. You’ll manage new non-fault motor claims, support customers throughout the claims process and ensure cases are handled efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle new motor claims and complete the First Notification of Loss (FNOL) process.
• Liaise with customers, insurers, brokers, repairers and other third parties.
• Gather evidence and carry out initial investigations and liability assessments.
• Manage customer expectations and provide regular updates.
• Coordinate vehicle repairs and replacement vehicle arrangements.
• Record claim details accurately and assist with recovering costs from insurers.

About You

• Experience in motor insurance or claims handling is preferred.
• Confident telephone manner with strong communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Positive, empathetic and customer-focused approach.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
