We are currently seeking a Temporary School Finance Assistant to join a busy and supportive school finance team.

Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexibility may be available)

Key Responsibilities

Finance Duties:

• Raising and processing purchase orders
• Matching, coding, and processing invoices
• Maintaining supplier accounts and resolving queries
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Assisting with budget monitoring and financial reporting
• Supporting month-end finance processes
• Maintaining accurate financial records using FMS

Payroll Duties:

• Assisting with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll
• Processing timesheets, overtime, and payroll adjustments
• Maintaining employee payroll records
• Liaising with payroll providers and resolving payroll queries
• Using Dataplan for payroll administration and reporting

Requirements

Essential:

• Previous experience working within a school finance environment
• Experience using FMS (Financial Management System)
• Experience using Dataplan Payroll
• Payroll administration experience
• Good understanding of accounts payable and general finance processes
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Desirable:

• Experience working in a primary, secondary, or academy school setting
• Knowledge of education sector finance procedures
