We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established facilities management provider, covering commercial retail sites across Swindon and the surrounding area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys varied work and the independence of a mobile role. You will manage your own daily workload while receiving support from an experienced and collaborative facilities management team.

The Role

You will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a portfolio of commercial retail sites. Alongside electrical testing, fault finding and repairs, you will support general building maintenance tasks and participate in a structured on-call rota.

This is a customer-facing position where you will work independently and communicate regularly with planning teams, store managers, colleagues and subcontractors.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs.
* Completing electrical fault finding, testing, inspections and installations.
* Delivering minor electrical works and compliance-related tasks.
* Ensuring work meets statutory requirements, company procedures and health and safety standards.
* Supporting general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting and minor fabrication.
* Using a tablet and internal systems to manage, update and close work orders.
* Maintaining accurate maintenance, compliance and administrative records.
* Communicating with planning teams, colleagues, store managers and subcontractors.
* Working towards agreed KPIs while delivering a high standard of customer service.
* Supporting quotations and wider operational requirements when needed.
* Participating in a structured on-call rota for out-of-hours service requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

To be considered for this position, you should have:

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
* An NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or an equivalent qualification.
* Proven commercial electrical maintenance and repair experience.
* Strong electrical fault-finding, testing and diagnostic skills.
* Experience completing planned and reactive maintenance.
* Experience carrying out general building-maintenance tasks.
* The ability to manage a mobile workload and work independently.
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
* A proactive, adaptable approach to changing priorities.
* A commitment to safe working and professional development.

Experience within a retail, commercial or multi-site maintenance environment would be beneficial.
