We're recruiting for a Service Co-ordinator to join a busy and fast-paced operations team in Chadderton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on organisation, enjoys problem-solving, and can keep multiple moving parts running smoothly.

Working as the link between customers, engineers and internal teams, you'll play a vital role in ensuring service requests are scheduled, managed and completed efficiently while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing as a Service Desk Coordinator

As part of the Service Desk team, you'll take ownership of service requests from start to finish, ensuring work is planned effectively and completed within agreed service levels.

Key responsibilities include:

• Scheduling and allocating work to engineers based on priority, location and customer requirements.
• Managing a high volume of incoming service requests and ensuring accurate system updates.
• Monitoring open jobs and proactively following up to ensure timely completion.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, contractors and engineers to provide updates and resolve queries.
• Coordinating planned maintenance visits and reactive service work.
• Managing escalated cases and ensuring customer expectations are met.
• Providing job status updates, ETAs and service-related communications.
• Arranging return visits, specialist support and multi-person engineer bookings where required.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the service process.
• Supporting colleagues across the Service Desk to ensure workload is effectively managed.

You'll ideally have experience within a service-led, engineering, facilities management, maintenance, logistics or operational environment.

Skills & Experience of this Service Desk Co-ordinator role

• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and changing workloads.
• Experience coordinating engineers, contractors or field-based teams.
• Confidence handling customer enquiries and escalating issues when required.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong IT and administration skills.
