Fire Door Joiner Agency: Search Consultancy Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Search Consultancy is looking for skilled, time-served Joiners specialising in fire door installation and maintenance for an active commercial refurbishment project in Newcastle. We are partnering with a leading main contractor requiring operatives with deep expertise in fitting, upgrading, and certifying timber fire door assemblies. If you have a valid CSCS card, your own 110v/cordless joinery tools, and proven experience working with BM TRADA / FIRAS standards, we have an immediate start available now. The Role Fire Door Fitting & Upgrades: Hanging fire-rated door sets, fitting intumescent strips, smoke seals, drop seals, and fire-rated ironmongery (closers, hinges, latches). Frame & Remedial Work: Installing fire-rated frames, expanding foam/pacing seals, and carrying out remedial repairs to existing door leaf/frame tolerances to ensure full compliance. Compliance: Ensuring all installations adhere strictly to current fire safety regulations and manufacturer installation guidelines. Site Coordination: Working efficiently to clear daily room/corridor door targets while keeping work areas safe and clean. Requirements CSCS Card: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Advanced Craft in Joinery preferred; FIRAS / NVQ Level 2 in Fire Door Installation is a strong advantage). Experience: Time-served Joiner with proven track record on commercial or residential fire door projects. Tools & Kit: Full professional joinery kit (110v/cordless routers, planers, saws, hand tools) and standard 5-point PPE. Reliability: Keen eye for precision measurements, safety compliance, and reliable attendance. Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK. Why Work With Search?
