Sous Chef

• Annual Salary: £14.83 per hour

• Job Type: Full-time - 6.00-14.00 or 11.30-19.30
• Duration: Temporary to Permanent - Immediate Start

Join our dedicated team in Wymondham, where we are committed to providing excellent culinary experiences. We are currently seeking a skilled Sous Chef to oversee our kitchen operations during a mix of shifts.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist the Head Chef in the planning and preparation of meals.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff.
• Ensure the quality and timely preparation of all dishes.
• Implement and maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Manage inventory and order kitchen supplies as needed.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
• Must hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to undertake.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
• Excellent cooking skills with a keen eye for freshness, quality, and cleanliness.
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Familiarity with industry’s best practices.
• Relevant culinary qualifications.
