HGV Technician (Days) – Trafford Park Hours: 4 on 4 off – 06:00 – 18:00 Average 42 hours per week Full time, permanent Earning Potential – Salary: £21.80 per hour Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate Will easily clear £50,000 – with the ability to earn over £60,000 with plenty of overtime Overview We're looking for an HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle specialist in Trafford Park on a 4 on 4 off day shift. You'll be carrying out maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers, diagnosing faults, and completing permanent repairs. If you're Level 3 qualified and ready for a strong hourly rate with a great work-life balance, this is the one. Key Responsibilities Undertaking maintenance and repair activities on commercial vehicles and trailers of all types Diagnosing faults and carrying out tests on vehicles Effecting permanent and complete repairs Completing paperwork and procedures relating to warranty, contract, and retail work Carrying out preventative maintenance work to minimise unnecessary customer costs Completing any other duties reasonably within your capabilities as instructed by your manager What You'll Need City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (essential) Experience in diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of vehicles – commercial vehicle experience required Organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail Manufacturer training courses undertaken – maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data Full, current UK driving licence – HGV licence preferred but not essential Friendly, confident, and professional manner with excellent communication skills Ability to work well under pressure – both independently and as part of a team You'll be a great fit if you're methodical, take pride in your work, and want a stable role with a nationally recognised employer.
