Supply Teaching Assistants – Cotswolds

Location: Cotswolds and surrounding areas

Salary: £95–£110 per day

Contract: Flexible supply – day-to-day, short-term and longer-term opportunities

The Cotswolds needs good TAs. We need you.

There’s something rather lovely about working in Cotswold schools: smaller communities, fantastic settings and plenty of variety. However, when schools need additional support, they need Teaching Assistants who can step in, build relationships quickly and make a genuine difference.

That’s where you come in.

Thrive Education is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our supply team and support schools across the Cotswolds.

You might be looking for a couple of days a week, want to experience different schools before committing to a permanent role, or simply enjoy the flexibility that supply offers. Whatever your reason, we’ll work with you to find placements that suit your experience, availability and strengths.

What could you be doing?

Depending on the school and your experience, you could be:

  • Supporting learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Working alongside the class teacher to keep pupils engaged and progressing
  • Providing 1:1 or small-group support
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND
  • Helping with interventions and targeted learning
  • Providing additional classroom support when schools need an extra pair of hands
  • Becoming the familiar, consistent face that a pupil or class needs

No two days on supply are necessarily the same and that's part of the appeal.

Who are we looking for?

We're interested in people who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people
  • Are confident supporting pupils in a classroom environment
  • Build positive relationships quickly
  • Are adaptable, dependable and happy to get stuck in
  • Understand that every school, class and child is different
  • Have a genuine interest in helping children succeed

Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential. Relevant experience and the right attitude can be just as valuable.

A note about location…

We support schools across the Cotswolds, including some more rural and remote locations where public transport can be limited or non-existent.

For this reason, drivers are particularly preferred for this role. Having your own transport will give you access to a wider range of schools and opportunities.

Why work through Thrive Education?

We don't believe supply should feel like being sent wherever there's a gap.

We take the time to understand you, your experience, preferences, strengths and availability and use that to match you with schools where you're likely to thrive.

You'll have a dedicated consultant who knows the schools we're working with and will be there to support you throughout your placements.

If you're a Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across the Cotswolds, we'd love to hear from you.
