About the Company

Templegate Recruitment is working with a well-established independent financial planning firm in Fareham, seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Paraplanner looking to develop their technical knowledge and progress towards becoming a Chartered Financial Adviser.

The current Senior Paraplanner is progressing into a Financial Adviser position, creating an opportunity for someone to follow a similar career path.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality suitability reports and financial planning documentation.
• Conduct technical research across pensions, investments and protection.
• Work closely with Financial Advisers on client cases and recommendations.
• Analyse financial information and support complex planning cases.
• Maintain high standards of report writing, accuracy and compliance.
• Use Salesforce and other internal systems effectively.
• Keep up to date with legislation and regulatory changes.
• Develop technical and client-facing experience with the long-term aim of progressing into Financial Advice.

Career Progression

The role offers a genuine pathway into Financial Advice, with support to develop technical knowledge, qualifications and client-facing experience.

The firm has already successfully supported the progression of its current Senior Paraplanner into an Adviser role.

What We're Looking For

• Previous Paraplanning experience, ideally within an IFA environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and financial planning.
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of FCA regulations and compliance.
• Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
• Genuine ambition to progress into Financial Advice.
• Commitment to developing qualifications towards Chartered status.
• Salesforce or similar CRM experience is desirable.

Desirable

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
• Progress towards Chartered status.
• Experience supporting complex financial planning cases.
• Strong technical and compliance knowledge.
