Job Description:

Recruit UK are working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join a growing Independent Financial Advice firm within our Nationwide client, in their new Edgbaston office.

The purpose of this role is to work closely with Financial Planners to deliver a high-quality, compliant, and professional service to clients. You will play a key role in supporting the advice process by conducting research, producing suitability reports, and ensuring all recommendations meet regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with Financial Planners to understand client objectives and assist Financial Services Administrators in gathering required information

Assist in identifying financial planning opportunities and sourcing suitable solutions, including preparation of tax calculations where required

Ensure all required compliance documentation is present and correct prior to submission of suitability reports

Prepare suitability reports and recommendations for Financial Planner approval in line with company policy

Prepare associated client documentation and ensure signed declarations and authorisations are in place prior to any transactions

Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Paraplanning role within an Independent Financial Adviser

DipPFS qualified or equivalent ideally

Experience working across a broad range of financial products

Strong understanding of the end-to-end financial planning process
